DeWALT has earned a worldwide reputation for innovative product design, quality, and value with a focus on the needs of the end-user.

In 1994 DeWALT launched the revolutionary concept of cordless tools, including the most powerful cordless tool at that time, the 14.4 volt cordless drill/driver and 5 3/8” cordless saw. DeWALT cordless system includes drill/drivers, screwdrivers, impact drivers, impact wrench, saws, flashlights, and the combination drill/driver/hammer drill.

Today, DeWALT spans the globe with its presence across all continents with products and services marketed in more than 100 countries. They are a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools with more than 300 power tool and equipment products as well as 800 power tool accessories.

Dedicated to innovation in its product engineering, DeWALT has invested heavily in R&D with over 500 engineers working from five state of the art design centre’s worldwide and with an overall annual R&D expenditure in excess of US $100 million.

The innovation in the cordless category given by DeWALT is the 18V NANO Phosphate Lithium Ion battery technology. NANO Technology is a proprietary technology from DeWALT that delivers to the user longer cycle life, lighter weight, and greater performance.

These benefits encompass the DeWALT commitment to providing professional contractors with a breadth of tool offerings that deliver performance and productivity gains.

DeWALT has received accolades for its innovative product design by winning the IF Award 2007 for Industrial Products Design category for the Cordless Hammer Range and recently achieved the IF Award 2010 for the new compact hammers.

In a study commissioned by Fortune magazine in 2007, DeWALT was identified as the “2005 Breakaway Brand” for their superior brand strategy. DeWALT has been in operation for over 30 years with warehousing facilities in Jebel Ali spanning over 20,000 m2. This training facility simulates over 250 job sites applications covering all areas of construction, ranging from civil to MEP work.

DeWALT is also a non-signatory active member of Build Safe UAE, an organization aimed at improving the health, safety and welfare of all construction industry stakeholders. With annual sales closing in on $3 billion, the DeWALT brand commands a worldwide market leader status.
