Deutsche Messe Hannover, world trade fair organisers of shows such as Domotex Middle East, the international trade fair for carpets and floor coverings, has opened a regional branch office in Dubai. Domotex Middle East will focus on B2B and will feature finished products as well as machinery and raw materials.

Angela Schaschen, managing director, Deutsche Messe Dubai Branch said: "Deutsche Messe Hannover cannot transport one successful show to another part of the world and expect it to be a success. Opening a regional office allows us to research the market and understand what it wants from Domotex. The market here needs a vertical show to enable visitors to gain a deep insight into the product as well as a high standard. It is important that such a show contains news as well as demonstrations."

Wolfgang Lenarz, managing director of Hannover Messe International said: "The performance of Domotex Middle East last year has justified our faith in the market and we are now actively pursuing other opportunities most notably in the UAE but also throughout the region. We are targeting professional visitors such as interior designers and architects rather than the general public for Domotex."

The show will take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 11th to 13th with official support from the UAE Contractors Association and the Association of Professional Interior Designers (APID) in the Gulf region.
