Swedish compaction and paving equipment manufacturer, Dynapac will introduce three new reversible plates - the LG160, LG300 and LG520 - at Bauma 2007 in Germany.

All three ensure a high degree of compaction in confined areas of soil and stone materials and also for building foundations and backfill against supporting walls, according to the company.

They combine the latest engine technology with low exhaust emissions and reduced noise, for a high compaction performance. All models are equipped with a Hardox 400 steel material bottom plate and low vibration handles to ensure operators' comfort.

The Dynapac LG160 and LG300 are available with either a powerful Hatz diesel or a Honda petrol engine, which meet and exceed US emission standards, EPA and CARB.

Two optional bottom plates, 330mm or 450mm wide, are available with the LG160. Optional 500mm or 600mm heavy duty plates are also available for the forward and reversible LG300 plate compactor.

The LG520, with a 700mm-wide bottom plate, features a remote controlled reversible plate to ensure easy operation and high surface capacity. It is a lighter version of the LH800 compactor.

The LG160, LG300 and LG520 also provide stepless control of forward and reverse movement.

All three plates also feature a unique safety strap between the bottom and engine plates to ensure safety for the operator and longer life of the plate.

They have been designed to provide manoeuvrability in trenches and confined spaces making them suitable for compaction of backfill in pipes and cable trenches as well as road construction, repairs and maintenance work.

The smaller LG160 is ideal for applications that require a combination of high performance and capacity.
