A 23-year old Indian expatriate died on Friday evening at his company’s worksite in Qatar, according to reports in the Gulf Times newspaper.

Sources told the paper that the victim, identified as Nafi Ummer, died after a fall at a company worksite in the Doha city limits. The paper didn’t stipulate which worksite it was, or who the man was working for at the time of the incident.

The paper reported that sources had said Ummer was a construction supervisor and had joined his employers at the beginning of this year.

Ummer, a bachelor, had come from Punnoor, near Baluserry in Kerala’s Kozhikode district. Efforts are underway to repatriate his body, a humanitarian worker said.
