FORSA, the investment company set up by Dubai World for female investors, is set to offer its first wave of investment projects, starting with a major real estate venture to be launched later this month.

The project will mark FORSA's long-term commitment to create diverse investment opportunities for women.

"This is a very exciting time for FORSA and female investors," said Shamsa Rashid, CEO, FORSA.

"We believe that this real estate venture will be the start of greater things for female investors in the UAE, giving them a more prominent role in the country's economic growth."

FORSA's inaugural investment package has been designed to offer returns to women investors who are willing to invest US $272,100 (AED1 million).

FORSA has tapped into the resources of its investment partners, such as Nakheel, to ensure its initial venture is in line with international standards.

"We are in a convenient position to expand our investment portfolio because of our strategic alliances with various high-profile corporations, which we believe is critical in our mission to help generate new investment opportunities for women," added Rashid.

Rashid has also visited Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain to promote the project. The visits were also an opportunity to introduce the FORSA programme to the rest of the region and encourage other women to become more involved in investment and business activities.
