EC Harris, the build asset consultancy, was last week appointed by Al Tajamouat for Touristic Projects PLC in Jordan as executive project and commercial managers on TAJ, the shopping mall that will open next year.

Located in the Abdoun area of the capital Amman, the JD 130 million TAJ will boast more than 180 outlets over an area of 150 000 m2.

EC Harris has worked on similar projects in the UAE, such as Mirdif City Centre and the Bloomingdale’s store in Dubai and the Al Wahda Shopping Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Halim Salfiti, chairman of Al Tajamouat for Touristic Projects, said: “EC Harris is truly at the forefront of the industry we are investing in, and contracting EC Harris to work with us on the TAJ Project is already reaping us the results we are aiming for.”

Simon Light, partner at EC Harris, said the project “will become a major landmark on Amman’s retail landscape and we are delighted to be involved in the delivery of this prestigious development. We are highly committed to delivering a positive outcome for the investors, developer and tenants.”
