Oscar Rousseau

Oscar Rousseau was deputy editor of Construction Week, the premier news and insights outlet for construction professionals and leaders in the Middle East, between February 2018 and May 2019. Oscar has since taken over as editor of Commercial Interior Design, a sister title of Construction Week.

Prior to joining Construction Week, Oscar was multimedia features writer at UK-based publishing company William Reed Business Media.

At Construction Week, Oscar was directly involved with the brand’s Soundcloud and iTunes podcast show, Construction Week Viewpoint, and regularly appeared on Construction Week In Focus, the team’s YouTube bulletin show, in addition to writing news and longform articles for the brand.

His work experience includes time with the UK’s BBC, Olympic Broadcasting Services, and World News Media Ltd, and India’s The New Indian Express.

Oscar, an Arsenal fan, holds a BA (hons) Journalism degree from the University of Westminster, where he was involved with such activities as rowing and Muay Thai. Oscar spent 19 months as web and social media reporter at University of Westminster Students’ Union, and was involved in the relaunch of the university’s student magazine, Smoke, between May 2013 and 2014.
