Dubai's Jafza will offer long-term visas.

In line with Resolution No. 56 of 2018, passed by the UAE Cabinet and issued by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (Jafza) will offer facilities to obtain long-term visas for its customers and support their drive to attract and retain talent in the UAE.

Commenting on the announcement, managing director and chief executive officer of DP World, and CEO of Jafza, Mohammed Al Muallem, said: “Innovation has always been the core of our nation’s progress and is one of the primary reasons the UAE has managed to successfully bring in the quality of people it has over the decades.

"We believe this initiative is a step in the right direction that will help us maintain our status amongst the global community.”

UAE state news agency, Wam, reported that Jafza would assist new and existing customers by facilitating the process for any individuals meeting the authority’s “strict qualifications” for the scheme.

It would also work with the country's Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and other relevant entities to maintain the integrity of the process and ensure rapid turnaround.
