Making the CW Power 100 ranking once again this year is the president of engineering and construction at Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC), Samer Khoury. The company, which claims to be the biggest in the construction sector, employs a workforce of more than 110,000, which includes many different nationalities.

With its core markets including the UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, CCC has reported strong business performance in the past 12 months. The last year has seen the company market its technology credentials, entering into a collaboration with UAE-based additive manufacturing specialist Immense Technology Labs last July to create a digital warehouse. According to CCC, this was part of its “extensive plans to embrace and incorporate disruptive technology”.

In September last year, the company piloted the world’s first fully solar-powered, off-grid mobile cabin for its on-site workforce, working with Germany’s Tesvolt on the project.
