Saudi Arabia’s construction industry continues to evolve in tandem with the kingdom’s national diversification programme, Saudi Vision 2030.

Headquartered in the Riyadh, Al Bawani Construction says it is playing a central role in this agenda.

Led by chief executive officer, Fakher Al Shawaf, the company – which is categorised as a Class 1 Construction Company by the Saudi classification agency – has a portfolio that includes projects for clients such as the kingdom’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as projects for the Financial Plaza; the Riyadh Bank Data Centre; and Arriyadh Development Authority’s Arabsat building, which was designed by BuroHappold.

According to tender listings portal ProTenders, the contractor is also working on Cayan Cantara, a project that involves the construction of two mixed-use towers located on Umm Suqeim Road in Al Barsha South, Dubai.

The development is said to comprise a 38-storey hotel apartment tower and a 42-storey branded residential tower.

Other major works include the 275-key Four Seasons Hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Located at Al Shatee, this project consists of a 33-storey hotel tower, as well as 25 serviced apartments and 50 branded apartments.

ProTenders also lists Al Bawani as the general contractor for the Granada Shopping Mall extension project in Riyadh, situated on the east ring road leading to King Khaled International airport.

This project includes two buildings, making up a north and south extension. The commercial area will offer 143 retail spaces of varying sizes, three dedicated entertainment spaces, and a full floor of restaurants, cafés, and coffee shops.
