With more than 25 years of experience in the property and real estate sectors, chairman of Meraas, HE Abdulla Al Habbai, spent 18 years at Dubai Municipality, overseeing and translating the emirate’s vision for urban planning.

One of the group’s many high-profile projects is its Bluewaters Island development in Dubai, set to feature Ain Dubai – the world’s largest observation wheel, measuring 250m.

In April 2019, the Dubai-based developer said that the eighth and final 450-tonne temporary spoke of the wheel had been removed from the project, and the last of its permanent cables had been successfully installed.
