2019 CW Power 100: Reed Smith Middle East's Sachin Kerur at #59
Construction law heavyweight returns to CW's 2019 Power 100 ranking of the Mideast's most influential industry professionals
With a career spanning more than 22 years, Sachin Kerur is a partner in Reed Smith’s energy and natural resources practice. Also the office managing partner of the firm’s Middle East unit, Kerur specialises in advising government and the private sector on privatised and publicly procured infrastructure and development works.
Kerur took up his current role in July 2018, having previously served as the head of the Middle East region operations for law firm Pinsent Masons.
Speaking about his move at the time, Kerur said: “The regional construction sector faces significant challenges, and yet considerable opportunities exist for sustained development and reward.
"Reed Smith has articulated a renewed commitment to supporting clients in the regional sector through its bases and relationships in the region, and by bringing the weight of its global business to helping clients operating in and out of the region.”
He has advised on projects including airports, road and rail networks, power plants, commercial and residential developments, oil and gas facilities, water supply plants, as well as hotels and education facilities throughout the Middle East and India.
Led by Kerur, Reed Smith’s Middle East team has been focusing on the areas of financial services, energy, and natural resources.
Kerur completed his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford, and received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Dundee in the UK.
