Chief executive officer of India-headquartered Shapoorji Pallonji Int'l secures his place in 2019 CW Power 100

With a career spanning more than 30 years working at Shapoorji Pallonji International, chief executive officer, Mohandass Saini, has secured his position in the Construction Week Power 100 this year.

Saini joined the Mumbai-headquartered real estate and construction giant in 1985, and since then has served in various positions, prior to taking up his current role in 2000.

Shapoorji Pallonji was the first Indian construction company to enter the Middle East in 1971. Since then, the company has participated in high-profile projects in countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Sri Lanka, Malta, Algeria, Ghana, Togo, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria.

The company is currently developing Imperial Avenue, a $408.4m (AED1.5bn) residential tower in Downtown Dubai, which recorded 40% completion in November 2018. It is scheduled to be delivered in December 2019.
