2019 CW Power 100: Eng Hamad Al Ameri of UAE's Trojan is #80
Managing director of Trojan General Contracting moves up nine spots in 2019 Construction Week Power 100
Led by Eng Hamad Al Ameri, managing director, Trojan General Contracting was formed in 2009, and is involved in a range of business sectors from its base in the UAE.
The contacting arm, Trojan Holding, employs more than 5,200 experts and labourers, who have been engaged in hospitality, commercial, healthcare, residential, and infrastructure projects over the past 12 months.
Axis Tower, Gate Tower, and Vida Residence are some of Trojan’s completed projects in Abu Dhabi, and the firm is currently developing 17 Icon Bay, Harbour Gate Tower, and the Address Residences in Dubai.
In a Korean-Emirati joint venture, Trojan is working with Ssangyong Engineering & Construction on Ithra Dubai’s Deira Enrichment Project. This February, the construction team noted 10 million safe loss-time injury-free man-hours at the project site.
According to construction listings website ProTenders, Trojan is also working on the Water’s Edge community project on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
Having been appointed for the job in April 2018, Trojan is delivering the Aldar Properties project, which is worth $653.4m (AED2.4bn), under a $353.9m (AED1.3bn) main contract.
In the UAE, Trojan’s portfolio as general contractor also includes the Nad Al Sheba Residential Community’s Package 1, a project on which Nakheel is involved as master developer and Dubai Municipality as developer, according to ProTenders.
