UAE private sector to get four-day Eid Al-Adha holiday, Mohre says
Arafat Day to be observed on 9 Dhu Al Hijjah 1440, with 10-12 of the Islamic month to mark Eid Al-Adha
The four-day Eid al-Adha holiday for all private sector employees in the UAE has been announced, with Arafat Day to be observed on 9 Dhu Al Hijjah 1440 and Eid Al-Adha celebrated on 10, 11, and 12 of the Islamic month, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) said.
The announcement was made in a circular issued by Nasser bin Thani Al Hamli, the UAE's Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
Al Hamli greeted President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, on the occasion, according to UAE state news agency, Wam.
