Mashroat signs MoU with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Labour
National project management office will deliver project and facilities management services for Saudi's top labour authority
Program to Support the Management of Projects in Public Entities (Mashroat) will provide consultancy services and technical support for construction project management and facilities management (FM) on developments backed by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Labour and Social Development following a memorandum of understanding (MoU) recently signed between both entities.
The agreement will allow Mashroat to examine and evaluate construction projects, including designing and identifying policies, alongside procedures and processes.
In a statement, Mashroat said it would ensure project implementation and FM systems are run "efficiently and effectively".
The agreement was signed by executive general supervisor of supportive services at the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, Dr Ayman bin Ibrahim Al-Shelafan, and director-general of Mashroat, Eng Ahmed Bin Mutair Al-Balawi.
Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Jasser, assistant to the Minister of Labour and Social Development, said the deal was an “important step towards strengthening our partnership with Mashroat”.
Al-Balawi added: “The programme will examine and evaluate the management of current construction projects, while uniting the measurement of operational and maintenance procedures and processes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness, fulfilling the ministry's strategic objectives.”
The cooperation follows a royal decree No. 47004, dated 31 May, 2018, which ordered public entities to set up project management offices with which Mashroat can follow up, coordinate, and manage projects to ensure their effective delivery.
