Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority (Ewa) is seeking skilled manpower for its Hawar Power and Water Station at Hawar Island, with the move set to create jobs for construction workers in Bahrain over the next three years.

In a missive to the Bahrain Tender Board, Ewa said it was seeking “the most competitive lump sum price” for fitters and drivers to work at the Hawar plant.

Ewa stressed that it required “cost-effective” services through the proposal, for which bid acceptance will close on 21 August, 2019.

Bids must be accompanied by an initial bond of $2,652 (BHD1,000) with a validity period of six months.

According to ProTenders, Hawar Island’s water distribution systems – two stations, each with the capacity of 600m3 per day – were completed in 2016.
