Hadef & Partners named Sweden's legal sponsor at Expo 2020 Dubai
UAE law firm to support committee tasked with the country's preparation for and participation in the next World Expo
UAE-based independent law firm Hadef & Partners has been named legal sponsor by The Committee for Sweden’s Participation at Expo 2020 Dubai, appointed by Sweden’s Ministry for Foreign Affairs to deliver the country pavilion at the next World Expo.
Under the deal, Hadef & Partners – which has advised international clients on a number of Expo 2020-related construction contracts – will provide support to the committee on all legal aspects of Sweden’s preparation for, and participation in, the world fair.
The firm’s Expo 2020 Dubai team is led by Sadiq Jafar, managing partner in Dubai, and Victoria Woods, partner and head of its commercial practice group.
“We are extremely proud of our history, heritage, and reputation as a dedicated UAE law firm, and when we were requested to advise and assist in Dubai World Expo 2020 at such a fundamental level, we did not hesitate,” Jafar said, speaking on the Swedish Participation Committee partnership.
Anders Lönnberg, commissioner general of Sweden added: “I am so happy to work with Hadef & Partners with their outstanding knowledge and reputation. I feel confident that our collaboration will benefit both the UAE and Sweden.”
Sweden announced its tree-house themed Expo 2020 country pavilion in December 2018.
