Board chair at Sharjah Cement, Ahmed Abdullah Al Noman, dies

Ahmed Abdullah Al Noman, chairman of the board of directors at Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange-listed firm Sharjah Cement and Industrial Development Company (SCIDC), has died.

SCIDC made the announcement through an ADX missive on 21 July, 2019.

According to data provided by Bloomberg, Al Noman, an Emirati, was made chairman of both SCIDC and of Bank of Sharjah's board in 1993.

Founded in 1976, Sharjah-based SCIDC manufactures and supplies cement, paper sacks, and plastic rope.

It offers Portland cement, sulfate-resisting Portland cement, moderate sulfate-resisting Portland cement, blast furnace cement, oil well cement, and ground granulated blast furnace slag for various industries.
