Dubbed as Saudi Arabia’s “capital of entertainment, sports, and the arts”, the Qiddiya gigaproject is starting to gather pace, with further developments showcased in KSA’s capital during a press conference on 24 July. In this episode of the Construction Week Viewpoint podcast, Construction Week's features writer, Ashley Williams, chats with Construction Week’s reporter, Ranju Warrier, to discuss what was disclosed at the press event and what the project will mean for the Saudi Arabian market.

Among the key topics discussed were that more than 20 architecture firms were reportedly contracted to work on the gigaproject and 500 professionals are already working with Qiddiya Investment Co (QIC) on the development.

Other areas discussed include how the Qiddiya project will create job opportunities and real estate developments for Saudi Arabia.
