A stretch of Dubai’s main highway, Sheikh Zayed Road, will be partly closed to traffic from 6am on 8 November for a first-of-its-kind Dubai Run 30X30 on Sheikh Zayed Road event presented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) in association with ARN, Etisalat, Dubai Police, and the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (Rta).
According to the official Dubai Fitness Challenge site, the 14-lane highway will turn into a running track for a 10km run and a 5km fun run, which will begin and end at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The 5km fun is open to all and is free of charge; and the 10km run is open to those 18 years and older, and must be completed within 80 minutes.
The event is being held as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2019.
