Manitowoc launches new Potain Hup crane at Batimat 2019
The crane is now receiving orders, with first deliveries expected from early 2020

US-headquartered Manitowoc has launched the Potain Hup M 28-22 crane model at the Batimat 2019 exhibition in Paris, France, which will be the third model from the Hup crane range and will be the first to prioritise mobility.
Standing at 11.6m when folded, Manitowoc said compactness was a “distinguishing feature” of the model and allows for work in restricted job sites, and is also easier to transport from one site to another.
In addition to a jib that offers four positions, the Potain Hup M 28-22 features double steering axels, a 28m jib and smart set-up software.
“As one of the best gathering places for the French construction industry, Batimat is the perfect place to officially launch the Hup M 28-22,” said Stéphane Giraudo, Manitowoc’s sales director for tower cranes in France.
“Manitowoc always presents its latest self-erecting crane innovations at the tradeshow, and we know that the Hup M 28-22, with its small dimensions, ability to be deployed by one person and operated with our innovative Smart Set-up software, will be warmly received by the market,” she added.
