RTA sets new timings for public transport on UAE National Day break

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has set new timings for its services during the 48th UAE National Day holidays.

The new timings will impact the services of the RTA’s customer happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, metro, tram, marine transport, driving schools, and testing and registration centres.

According to the RTA, its customer happiness centres will be closed from 1-3 December, and will resume duty on 4 December, 2019. However, the smart centre at RTA’s head office, Umm Al Ramool, will remain open 24/7 during the holiday period.

On the occasion of UAE National Day, paid parking zones – except for multi-level parking terminals – will be free to use from 1-3 December, with fees reinstated on 4 December, 2019.

The Red Line of Dubai Metro, will operate 1-2 December from 05:00am to 01:00am of the following day. Similarly, on those days, the Green Line will begin service at 05:30 am and continue up to 01:00 am, the next day. The tram will also be in service from 06:00 am to 01:00 am of the following day.

At the RTA’s main stations, including Gold Souq, buses will start service from 04:25am to 00:29am, a little past midnight, and at Ghubaiba from 04:14am to 00:58am, the next day. At subsidiary stations, buses will operate at Satwa Station from 04:45am to 11:03pm, except for C01, which will be running around-the-clock.

The bus service timing will be from 04:31am to 12:08am at Al Qusais; from 05:05am to 11:35pm at Al Quoz Industrial Station; and from 04:58am to 11:30pm at Jebel Ali Station.

Metro link buses at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat Stations will be in service from 05:00am to 01:10am, the following day. The timing of all metro link services will match the modified timetable of the metro service.

Intercity bus service and commercial buses (at Al Ghubaiba) will be running round-the-clock service to Al Jubail Station, Sharjah, and from 04:36 am to 01:00 am (of the following day) to Abu Dhabi.
