Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the kingdom’s National Program to Support the Management of Projects in Public Entities (Mashroat) aimed to elevate the efficiency of asset and facilities management, and to support the establishment of a department of facilities.

The agreement will see long-term cooperation strengthen between the entities, with Mashroat offering project management consultations and facilities management support to meet the ministry’s strategic objectives, according to the state-run Saudi Press Agency report.

The director-general of Mashroat, Eng Ahmed Bin Mutair Al-Balawi said that the agreement is in line with the entity’s vision to support government institutions and manage projects and facilities within the kingdom through partnerships.

Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister of Finance, Hindi bin Abdullah Al-Suhaimi, said that the MoU is in an important step towards achieving well-developed facilities management services.
