Sharjah's SEWA connects electricity to 1,741 projects in 2019
SEWA aims to ensure safe electricity connections as it looks to develop networks and power distribution plants across Sharjah
The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA) revealed that it has connected electricity services to 1,741 projects, including residential, industrial, commercial, governmental, and agricultural projects during 2019 in Sharjah city.
The announcement is in line with the entity’s aim to ensure electricity connections, and the development of networks and power distribution plants in all regions of the emirate.
Commenting on the importance of engineering consultants, the SEWA chairman, Dr Rashid Al Leem, stated that the authority has coordinated with more than 200 engineering consultant offices as it seeks to activate strategic partnerships and ensure the safe supply of electricity in Sharjah.
Al Leem added that SEWA primarily focuses on the residential sector, while also working to enable other sectors such as industrial, commercial, and service, according to state run news agency, Wam.
