UAE's SZHP approves $107.5m in housing assistance for Emiratis
Housing loans and grants will provide 503 citizens access to permanent accommodations with all the required facilities
The UAE’s Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme’s (SZHP) board of directors has approved support worth $107.5m (AED395m) to provide 503 citizens access to accommodation through housing loans and grants.
The housing support will be distributed through 378 decisions in loans and grants; and 125 “rapid decisions,” the entity revealed on its official Twitter account.
The initiative is in line with the directives of the UAE President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Minister of Infrastructure Development, and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, said that the UAE leadership is keen to ensure that these modern units are constructed with all the required facilities, according to state news agency Wam.
The intitiative also reiterates the UAE’s vision of ensuring the wellbeing of its citizens, and to help them gain permanent accommodations with a sense of security.
