Oman ministry directs expat workforce to stay at home after work
The ministry has directed people not to exit to public places and markets, unless absolutely necessary
Oman’s Ministry of Manpower has called on private sector companies and institutions to direct its expatriate workforce to #StayAtHome after work hours, and during holidays and weekly offs.
The ministry has directed people not to exit to public places and markets, unless absolutely necessary.
The ministry has also suspended labour gatherings of any sort, and has warned that legal measures will be taken against whoever violates its directives to maintain precautionary standards aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).
As part of its precautionary measures, the ministry will continue to provide its services only electronically and will stop receiving auditors at its service delivery outlets at its ministerial offices, according to the state-run Oman News Agency.
