UAE's Oasis Mall to close outlets for two weeks; Carrefour, pharmacies to stay open

Oasis Malls has decided to close outlets in its Dubai and Sharjah shopping malls for two weeks, starting March 25, in line with precautionary measures to fight the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

The mall closures will exclude Carrefour, pharmacies, and clinics within the shopping malls, state-run news agency, Wam, reported.

In Dubai, a thermal camera has been installed at the mall's main entrance to monitor the health and security of visitors.

Handheld scanners will also be used at the Dubai and Sharjah malls at the entry points for the basement parking, which will be an alternate access point to Carrefour stores, iCare clinics, and Life Pharmacy stores.

In addition, Oasis Malls will carry on with its daily cleaning and disinfection practices in line with the directives of the UAE Ministry of Health and the Dubai and Sharjah health authorities.
