Empower disinfects 79 plants and customer service centres

The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has conducted a comprehensive campaign to disinfect 79 plants, as well as its customer service centres across Dubai.

The firm confirmed the use of sustainable and eco-friendly sterilisation methods, which were in line with the UAE government’s mandate for precautionary measures to be implemented to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

Commenting on the initiative the chief executive officer of Empower, Ahmad bin Shafar, said: “We have harnessed all resources available to support the preventive actions aimed at guaranteeing the health and safety of community and individuals.”

He added: “This move demonstrates our commitment and solidarity to the efforts to get out of this crisis.”

The campaign is part of intensive measures being taken by UAE institutions and authorities in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO), which has stipulated the best international standards to curb COVID-19, the state-run news agency, Wam, reported.
