RAQ Contracting installs sanitising booths at head office, sites’ offices
RAQ has implemented social distancing; sanitising of items and hands; gloves and face masks; and body temperature checks
Dubai-based RAQ Contracting, which is the contractor behind Dubai Airport Free Zone commercial buildings, has installed sanitising booths at its head office and at its sites’ offices to ensure the wellbeing of employees in line with precautionary measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The contracting firm is taking all necessary precautions, including daily disinfection services to create a safe workplace for its employees amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
In addition, RAQ has implemented social distancing; frequent sanitising of items and hands; consistent wearing of gloves and face masks; and regular body temperature checks, among other measures.
RAQ has adopted several mitigation measures mandated by the UAE Government for the construction industry and has acted quickly to follow all the necessary guidelines.
When the UAE mandated reduced capacity on transport infrastructure, resulting in labour shortages and productivity across construction project sites, RAQ provided additional vehicles and buses for staff transportation, with some vehicles making multiple trips during the day to ensure healthy progress on site.
Furthermore, considering the minimised capacity of the workforce and staff, RAQ implemented weekly progress and supply chain reports to keep track of the company’s pace and secure its growth.
RAQ also confirmed in April 2020 that the Italy Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai site remains on schedule with stringent measures taken by the laborers and engineers on site.
