2020 CW Power 100: SNC-Lavalin's Craig Muir ranked at No. 53
In his role, Muir has been responsible for strengthening the leadership team at SNC-Lavalin with “strategic appointments”
Returning to the Power 100 list in 2020 is Canadian EPC giant SNC-Lavalin’s Craig Muir.
Since taking up his current role in April 2019, Muir has been responsible for strengthening the leadership team with “strategic appointments” that support the contractor’s new strategy focused on engineering and consulting, asset management, and project delivery services.
Last year, the company announced its plans to exit lump-sum turnkey contracting to direct its focus on services and reimbursable contracting models.
The Middle East, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait are SNC-Lavalin’s key markets, where the company continues to grow its engineering services business.
The company in partnership with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), has developed a Training Academy in Muscat to train Omanis in commissioning projects in the oil and gas sector.
2019 also saw the contractor bag a three-year contract worth approximately $36.9m (AED135.5m) from Al Yasat Petroleum.
