Dubai World Trade Centre’s (DWTC) real estate portfolio, includes landmark developments, event venues, offices, and hotels, with more than 1.8 million square feet of Grade A offices delivered; 7.2 million square feet of real estate under development; and more than $1.09bn (AED4bn) of new assets.
Its strategic expansion continues with projects at the Expo 2020 Dubai site, including an exhibition centre, park, and the mixed-use residential development – the Expo Village. Expected to be a part of the expo’s legacy precinct, Expo Village has been designated as the event’s official residential community.
With the aim of enhancing Dubai’s growth as an international hub of trade, finance, and commerce, Phase 1 of the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo 2020 Dubai will offer 45,347m2 of exhibition space; 3,000m2 of meeting rooms; and 1,850m2 of retail; in addition to support, infrastructure, and metro arrival space for Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Dubai World Trade Centre has also begun implementing measures to enable business continuity, and operational sustainability for entities within key sectors of the DWTC portfolio – meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions [MICE]; free zone [FZ]; as well as retail and commercial real estate.
