2020 CW Power 100: Meraas' Sheikh Ahmed secures 22
The master developer climbs 11 places on the CW Power 100 ranking from last year
HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum enters Construction Week’s Power 100 list in his role as the chairman of Meraas, as the master-developer climbs 11 places on the CW ranking of the Middle East’s 100 most influential construction leaders of 2020.
HH Sheikh Ahmed has been at the forefront of Dubai’s economic development for more than 25 years, and holds a number of government positions including as the second vice chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
The Meraas portfolio, which HH Sheikh Ahmed has taken over, comprises over 743.224ha of total developed land, more than 3,500 homes, 2,000 retail units, and 15 landmark destinations, including Al Seef, Bluewaters, Boxpark, City Walk, Dubai Harbour, Jumeira Bay, Kite Beach, La Mer, Last Exit, Pearl Jumeira, The Beach, and The Outlet Village.
Meraas has stated that it aims to enhance the emirate’s cityscape with a human-centric approach to developing assets in the real estate, tourism, hospitality, F&B, retail, leisure, entertainment, technology, maritime, and healthcare sectors.
