2020 CW Power 100: Depa Interiors' Abdoullah Albizreh ranks 48
Albizreh has led Depa Interiors to provide proposals that reduce time, cost, and provide solutions on a project-specific basis
Depa Interiors is one of the world’s leading interior contractors, and in his position as director, Abdoullah Albizreh has helped the firm enter into the Top 50 of Construction Week’s Power 100 ranking for 2020.
Albizreh has led the team at Depa Interiors to provide proposals that reduce time, cost, and provide solutions on a project-specific basis, which has in turn led to contract awards worth more than $217m (AED800m), including the Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal, Mashreq Bank headquarters, and the FlyDubai headquarters.
In addition, Depa Interiors has worked on the Sheikh Zayed Museum along with Foster + Partners; the King Abdullah Financial District metro along with Zaha Hadid (LEED Silver); the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai along with Santiago Calatrava (LEED Platinum); as well as the Address Opera Residence in Downtown Dubai.
Depa Interiors was also awarded five new cinemas projects in Saudi Arabia. In February 2020, Saudi Arabia’s first homegrown cinema brand Muvi Cinemas awarded Depa the contract for the complete fit-out and MEP works at five cinema projects, comprising 39 screens in the kingdom.
The contract, which includes three cinemas in Riyadh (a total of 16 screens), one in Jeddah (17 screens), and one in Buraydah (6 screens), will cover a total area of 15,854m2. The kingdom’s cinema sector is growing rapidly and is expected to be valued at more than $1.6bn (SAR6bn) within the next five years.
Under Albizreh’s leadership, Depa has also developed relationships with key clients and consultants in the UAE and KSA, which has led to new awards of more than $37.26m (SAR140m) in Saudi Arabia. Depa Interiors aims to grow its KSA business to the size of its UAE business within the next five years.
