Emaar installs disinfection tunnels at entrance to its main offices
The chemicals used to sanitise and disinfect employees are safe to breathe, and can disinfect clothes and shoes safely
Dubai Financial Market-listed real estate developer Emaar Group has installed disinfection tunnels at the entrance of its main offices in line with its commitment to secure the safety and health of its employees and curb the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The disinfection tunnels permit for employees to enter the premises one at a time, and requires the employees to wear a mask while being disinfected.
The tunnels are equipped with high-quality nozzles that release a mist, killing 99.9% of germs, but are also eco-friendly and a human-safe solution.
The chemicals used in the process of sanitising and disinfecting employees are safe to breathe, and can disinfect clothes and shoes safely.
In March 2020, Emaar had directed employees to work from home, stating at the time that it will continue to monitor developments and prevention measures across the world, and update its actions based on how the global situation evolves.
Construction Week reported in April 2020 that Emaar Properties had donated $27.22m (AED100m) to the Social Solidarity Fund against COVID-19 launched by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to support humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the impact of the pandemic.
