COVID-19: JAFZA launches incentives to ensure business continuity
The incentives come on the back of the 70% reduction in registration, licensing and administrative fees
Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) has introduced a range of incentives to support its customers and new companies to resume their activities in the post-COVID-19 environment.
As part of its support towards its customers and new companies, Jafza now offers on-demand warehouses on short-term lease with multi-functional storage options, competitive rates, and no VAT or customs duties. Companies can now take on lease Jafza warehouses from 300m2 to 15,000m2 in size, with free-of-charge water and electricity as a bonus.
The incentives also cover easier rental terms like monthly rentals and deferred rental payments; cost-effective transport services; ease of accessibility; and speedier services.
The incentives come on the back of the 70% reduction in registration, licensing and administrative fees, which was announced before the lockdown began in mid-March.
Speaking about the range of incentives offered by Jafza, chief executive officer and managing director of DP World, UAE, and chief executive officer of Jafza, Mohammed Al Muallem, said: “Challenging times call for competitive solutions. At DP World and Jafza we’re working on customised solutions for a post-pandemic trading world in which our customers pay less for more value-added service support across-the-board."
