Expo 2020 Dubai set to celebrate Polish Day on 7 December 2021
The date for Polish Day was officially confirmed by Expo 2020 Dubai’s HE Reem Al Hashimy
Expo 2020 Dubai has announced that Polish Day will fall on 7 December 2021 to mark Poland’s 30th anniversary of the Polish Embassy opening in the UAE.
To celebrate Polish Day, a celebration will be accompanied by a meeting of representatives of the highest state authorities of both countries, as well as economic and cultural events.
The date was confirmed by Expo 2020 Dubai’s minister of state for international cooperation and the general director, HE Reem Al Hashimy.
The UAE, the US, Russia and Kazakhstan will also be celebrating their National Days in December 2021 at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The Polish Pavilion's slogan will be: "Poland. Creativity inspired by nature” and its goals include both strengthening the image of the country on the international stage and economically.
The Poland Pavilion is designed by the WXCA architectural studio and will be the main arena of the presentation and carrier of information about the country during the six month event starting from 1 October 2021 till 31 March 2022.
Commenting on celebrating Polish Day, Poland’s commissioner-general, Adrian Malinowski, said: “On 7 December 2021, the eyes of the whole world - present at Expo 2020 Dubai - will turn to Poland. We want to make the most of this moment, which is why preparations for Polish Day have been going on for a long time.
He added: “National days at World Exhibitions have their own rituals, which each country having its own characteristic content. We are developing a cultural and entertainment program for this day to show the world our greatest Polish traditions and artistic achievements.”
