Diriyah Gate makes the front cover for CW's August mag
CW gathers exclusive details with Diriyah Gate Development Authority on building the world’s largest cultural and heritage development in KSA
Construction Week’s August issue of the magazine is now available for subscribers through our digital platforms free of charge.
For this month’s edition, we speak with Diriyah Gate Development Authority’s chief design and development officer, Jonathan Timms, on building the world’s largest cultural and heritage development in Saudi Arabia.
Among the figures spearheading the construction of the 7km2 site, Timms shared exclusive details on how they are developing an integrated cultural and heritage masterplan, which celebrates the region's rich past with a range of individual experiences.
The project aims to restore the 15th century city of Diriyah that was established on the banks of Wadi Hanifah in 1446 AD and became the capital of the first Saudi state in 1744 AD.
The architecture of the masterplan is of authentic Najdi-style living coupled with world-class amenities all within the convenience of a mixed-use urban community.
CW’s August magazine also features analysis from The Big 5 Saudi, in partnership with SEKTOR which hosted one of the most inspiring online panels of the year.
Some of the biggest names across the Middle East’s construction industry came together to discuss what the next 10 years in construction will look like.
