Editor's Letter: (Virtual) event season is back with a bang
As we enter into the final quarter of 2020, September is set to be a jam packed month of virtual conferences and awards
Who would have thought that we are already in September? With COVID-19 dominating the majority of our day-to-day routines throughout the majority of 2020, it seems that time has certainly flown by.
With all of our events being postponed at the beginning of the year as a result of the pandemic, this means that we are gearing up for a bumper finale to 2020.
In what is set to be a historic moment for our brand, we will be bringing you our first ever virtual awards ceremony – The Construction Week Oman Awards - from the 2 September.
We will be streaming the awards live from 12pm across our Facebook social media platform, YouTube channel, website and event website, so make sure to tune in.
Despite all the challenges and difficulties this year, we have received an array of talented nominations across all our categories, which has made it extremely tough for our judges to decide our winners.
Next up, we will turn our attentions to our Leaders UAE conference, which is set to take place over two days from the 15-16 September.
The Leaders UAE conference is one of the region’s biggest construction events of the year.
Covering technology, sustainability, stakeholder collaboration and legal support, I feel that these have all been prominent areas since the start of 2020, which is what we will be discussing across four panel discussions during our two-day event.
The amount of interest that we’ve already had for this event has been phenomenal, and we will be revealing our exciting line-up of speakers very soon.
We will conclude the month of September with our KSA Summit, which similarly to our UAE event, will happen over two days on the 29-30 September.
I’ve been very excited about this event for quite some time and one that Construction Week has worked extremely hard to make a reality.
As part of our event, we want to recognise some of the most impressive projects on the planet as part of our gigaproject panel, which are putting Saudi Arabia in the spotlight.
We will also delve into sustainability, the future of Saudi Arabia’s marketplace, as well as the the kingdom’s evolving design and acceleration of modular construction.
With eyes firmly focused on the Kingdom, this is the perfect opportunity to hear from some of the best names around in a safe and secure manner. We expect some very lively and fascinating debates from four panels across two-days.
So sit back, put your feet up and watch all of our events unfold. You still have time to register to be part of all three events.
You will not be disappointed.
