Port of Duqm inks telecom infra deal with Oman Towers Company
The agreement will allow OTC to accommodate service operators on its towers in an open access means, saving capital expenditure investment and time
Oman Towers Company (OTC) and the Port of Duqm Company (PODC) have signed an agreement to roll out telecom tower infrastructure for mobile operators within the port concession land.
OTC is an infrastructure solutions provider for Greenfield towers, rooftops, and in-building solutions. Keeping up with emerging technologies such as 5G, IOT and others, OTC is working with street furniture suppliers to accommodate future antennas.
The agreement between both parties will allow OTC to accommodate all service operators with different technologies on its towers in an open access means, thereby saving capital expenditure investment, time and resulting in an efficient process.
The OTC-PODC agreement is expected to boost the infrastructure within the Duqm region in Oman, making it a significant investment hub for investors in the region, Port of Duqm said in a statement.
