Arjan Engineering has signed an agreement with Oman's Port of Duqm Company (PODC), as per which construction work is expected to commence in October 2020. It will take the total built-up area of the facility to 10,000sqm.

Speaking on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, owner of Arjan Engineering Company, Ali Al Amri, said that the expansion project would witness the establishment of cold storage warehouses, a first of its kind in Duqm Free Zone. It will add to the ease and convenience of companies seeking warehousing and storage facilities to handle the overflow of inventory while converting warehousing costs into variable costs, adding that the new project would take the total investment to above $2.59m (OMR1m).

Recently, PODC signed an agreement with Oman Towers Company (OTC) to roll out telecom tower infrastructure for mobile operators within the port concession land, Construction Week reported.
