UAE real estate giant Emaar Properties-developed Dubai Mall has taken "immediate measures to restore the damage caused to a small section of the ceiling," in a recent partial collapse incident, UAE's state-run news agency Dubai Media Office reported Emaar Properties' official statement.

As part of Emaar Properties' statement, Dubai Media Office said that there were "no injuries and all precautionary measure are in place to ensure the highest safety for Dubai Mall's visitors."

Dubai Media Office shared photo updates of the repaired ceiling on Twitter.

Recently, Construction Week got exclusive details about the Dubai Mall Boulevard Expansion project in an interview with ASGC, the contractor in-charge of the project. Both, overall construction and MEP works for the expansion project were reported to be 65% complete at the time, with ASGC now moving ahead with fit-out and finishing works, which includes the final phase and external façade, Construction Week reported.
