Sharjah Municipality (SM) has signed a MoU with the Department of Statistics and Community Development (DSCD) in Sharjah, to promote digital transformation within the emirate.

Chairman of DSCD, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, said that the MoU reflects the directions of the two sides in enhancing cooperation and coordination between each other to provide the best services to the emirate, Sharjah24 reported.

He said that the two parties will provide high-quality services with ease and convenience in a way that reduces time and effort for customers, ensuring public satisfaction.

On his part, director general of Sharjah Municipality, HE Thabet Al Tarifi, stated that the MoU aims to extend bridges of technical cooperation, and support coordination in information and data exchange.

He added that Sharjah Municipality will – according to the memorandum – exchange necessary information and data with DSCD, in order to enhance joint cooperation in achieving electronic connectivity between the two sides, to support digital transformation in the emirate, and unify efforts to provide data in common areas.
