Tourism Development & Investment Co (TDIC) has held a ceremony to mark the handover of properties at its Saadiyat Beach Residences development on Saadiyat Island to its first tenants.

Saadiyat Beach Residences contains 495 residences in six low-rise buildings within a gated community on Saadiyat Island.

Phase one, which consists of 285 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, is available for leasing. The second phase, containing 210 residences, is set to complete early next year.

Ahmed Al Fahim, executive director of marketing, communications, sales and leasing at TDIC, said: “We are delighted to welcome the first tenants to this new top-quality and exclusive residential community on Saadiyat.

“With the success we are witnessing with our residential portfolio and the high level of interest we continuously receive from prospective residents, Saadiyat Beach Residences has proven to be just as appealing and an ideal opportunity for people searching for reasonably priced apartments in Abu Dhabi.”

The development contains community features such as swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, multi-purpose courts, gymnasiums and prayer rooms.

They have been designed around two distinct styles – Arabesque and Mediterrenean, with the interior design carried out by consultancy GHD.

“The high quality finishing, exquisite architectural styles and various community offerings distinguish Saadiyat Beach Residences as a unique residential community in the Abu Dhabi market,” said Al Fahim.
