The company has also increased the number of sales and customer support employees in its KSA operation, in a bid to play a more prominent role in the Middle East’s construction advancement.

The expansion move comes in the light of major contract wins and success in maintaining key approval bodies. Aldes ME said that it is aiming for 8% year-on-year growth across the GCC region by the end of 2013.

The company has identified Saudi Arabia as a key target, as well as other GCC territories such as UAE, Qatar and Oman.

International director Morane Rey-Huet said the firm planned to capitalise on the construction boom by “leveraging its diverse portfolio of world class highly eco-friendly products across projects in the region”.

“We are seeing the emergence of five key trends that the segment will likely experience in the next few years. These trends include the need for more system integrators that can provide one-stop-shop solutions; stronger focus to be placed on energy efficiency; the implementation of more green building standards and regulations; increased demand for facility management services and a clear shift across today’s emerging markets.”
