Omani contractor Al Turki Enterprises has won a $42m (OR16.2m) contract for the construction of 99 villas new villas at The Wave, Muscat.
The agreement was signed by Hawazen Esber, CEO at The Wave, Muscat and Al Turki Enterprises executive director Devki Khimji at the development. Esber said: “Reehan Residences, is one of our greenest precincts in the masterplan and with 90% sold out following the launch in June 2014, we are now ready to award the delivery of this precinct.”
He added: “We have noticed growing demand for luxury product in the market and we have responded by launching Reehan Residences last year and Marsa Gardens this month and there are a number of other new releases planned throughout the year.
Esber said that Al Turki Enterprises has more than 35 years of industry experience and has a record of quality delivery, as it has built several earlier phases at the project.
“Al Turki Enterprises has already been responsible for key projects in our masterplan, including over 600 villas and townhouses and 550 apartments and continue to add value to the project through efficient building techniques and onsite management.”
Devki Khimji added: “We have been entrusted by The Wave, Muscat to construct one of their most popular residential offerings and we are excited to be a construction partner throughout this leading development.
The Wave, Muscat, is a public-private venture between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the UAE-based Majid Al Futtaim Properties. It is being built along a 6km stretch of coastline and includes a PGA-standard links golf course designed by Greg Norman, a marina and a 50-unit retail area known as The Walk.
