Omran has announced the availability of nine hospitality and retail units within the Al Baleed tourism cluster in Salalah, Oman.

The units will be leased to companies that are able to provide beachfront activities at the development.

Commenting during his visit to the site, Eng Ali Al Rasbi, Omran COO, said: “Local businesses and SMEs are the backbone and our nation and have an important role to play in boosting the capability and capacity of the sector. For the businesses that decide to take up this venture, they will situated in easily accessible locations with available car parking facilities and other utilities and services, as well as benefit from the footfall from the natural attractions.”

He added, “The Dhofar Governorate and Salalah specifically have seen increasing numbers of visitors over recent years with events such as the Khareef Festival.  Tourism clusters play an important role of Omran’s vision moving forward. The proximity of the related infrastructure forms a network of services that gain competitive advantages for their own businesses and make the location a more attractive, competitive and encompassing destination.”

The senior management team of Omran visited the Al Baleed archeological site in Salalah to oversee and inspect the final development stages of the new tourism cluster, a concentration of interconnected tourism infrastructure and services built for local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

During the Dhofar visit, Omran officials also met with operators of the company’s assets in Salalah to evaluate and discuss means of improving hospitality services.
