A fire broke out in Saudi’s Jubail industrial city.Â
Up to 12 workers lost their lives to the fire, while 11 others were injured, according to Reuters, citing Saudi state agency SPA.
The fire broke out during “routine maintenance at a United Petrochemical Company plant” on Saturday (16 April), the report said.Â
While extinguished quickly, the fire still left people with severe smoke inhalation.Â
According to the report, United is a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corp (SABIC).Â
