Cityscape organisers say next week’s event in Jeddah will revitalise the city’s role as the gateway to Saudi Arabia.

Deep Marwaha, director of Cityscape Jeddah, also believes that the three-day event will break records in terms of both attendance and deals signed.

Marwaha said in a statement today that projects featured at Cityscape Jeddah are closely linked to the government’s plans to develop and rehabilitate Jeddah’s historic districts, as well as the coastal city’s need for upwards of one million new homes by 2030.

“The wait is almost over, and soon the region and the world will have access to the top business prospects within the lucrative Saudi property market via Cityscape Jeddah. We have put everything into place to make this a highly successful edition, and the strong response we have received so far indicates that the show will be pulling in record numbers in terms of attendance, exhibitors, and deals,” he said.

Organisers expect more than 100 local and regional property investors, developers and service providers to exhibit at the event, which will be held from 7 to 9 June at the Jeddah Center for Forums and Events.

Housing is likely to dominate proceedings at Cityscape, in light of a national strategy to open up more housing opportunities for the low and middle income brackets.
