Commercial building solutions cover a large range of applications – each with its own individual characteristics. Best results are delivered with intelligent, robust, and energy-efficient pumping solutions designed to fit perfectly for the given application.
Grundfos‘ new TPE range is not just a pump but is a solution with an integrated motor, and frequency drive all in one package with IE5 class of efficiency, now extended up to 55kW. Together with various sensors, these solutions allow for dynamic and intelligent approaches in many Commercial Building applications.
Ultra-premium efficiency up to 55 kW
Grundfos has fitted the entire TPE single-stage in-line pump portfolio with the latest IE5 motors as standard. The 11-22 Kw TPE range integrates the intelligent Grundfos MGE Model K, while the Grundfos NIDEC is built into the 30-55 Kw TPE range. Both motors are equipped with variable speed drives to adjust motor speed according to system demand.Â
The ultra-premium IE5 classification is the highest possible for energy efficiency, significantly lowering CO2 emissions, shortening payback time, and reducing lifecycle costs. Motor losses are over 30% lower than an IE3 motor, equal to lower losses of more than 500W at full load. Payback time is also 25% faster than IE3 motors. The increased energy and water savings make it possible to reduce OPEX and SUSEX (Sustainability Index).
Enhanced connectivity and flexibility
The intelligent MGE Model K motor in the 11-22 kW TPE range enhances connectivity possibilities, with Bluetooth and Ethernet as standard, seamlessly connecting to Grundfos cloud solutions or any Building Management System using standard Modbus RTU protocols. The Grundfos GO app saves time and effort, making installation, commissioning, and maintenance of TPE easy. Intelligent sensors dynamically adjust performance to demand, providing maximum efficiency at the lowest cost.
Enhanced safety
Safe Torque Off (STO) is now built into the fully updated MGE model K motor in all 11-22 kW TPE pumps. STO is integrated to performance level PLe and safety integrity level SIL3, resulting in fewer system components needed and thus reduced CAPEX of the system. Risk is minimised, safety during maintenance is ensured and risk assessment and certification is simplified.
Robust, reliable, complete solution
TPE is built to last, using premium materials, an optimised production process and Grundfos’s commitment to product quality.
Combining TPE into an intelligent system with products like Grundfos MIXIT, Distributed Pumping, or the Delta Line modular system will increase energy efficiency even further. The full control of the entire pump system through Grundfos GO & GO Link apps creates connected, intelligent and energy-efficient pump solutions that are a suitable and smart choice for many industrial and commercial building applications.
Benefits of Grundfos TPE-pumps with MGE IE5 efficiency motors
Lowest installation cost:
Grundfos TPE pumps are mounted in-line – minimizing the installation complexity at the site.
No additional space required:
Integrated drive solution requires no additional space perfectly suitable for compact installation requirements and lower CAPEX.
No shielded motor cables or output filters:
No consideration is needed for motor installation and safe operation and mitigation of secondary effects of VFD operation for lower CAPEX.
Lower CO2 emissions:
Cut shipping cost and space in half by one product and not two for lower freight CO2 emissions – as well as the most energy-efficient installation.
Grundfos TPE in-line pumps with IE5 motors as standard are available to order now through usual sales channels. Further information and sizing options are available online here.
